Lee's Class -- Working on Favorite Place (Day 2)
Students searched images on the internet and located a picture of their favorite place. Students copied and pasted link in "favpla lee" doc and added image. Students returned to image online and saved image to their home directory (labeled with the name of their fav place).  After closing internet and favpla doc, students opened their home dir and verified that both items were complete and in their home dir. Demo'ed favorite place script.  Explained how to find, complete and save script (favpla2). Students worked on script during remaining time.

  • Next Time:  Students will search and locate an image of the transportation they use to arrive at their favorite place.
Bolebruch's Class -- Working on Favorite Place (Day 2)
Students searched images on the internet and located a picture of their favorite place. Students copied and pasted link in "favpla bol" doc and added image. Students returned to image online and saved image to their home directory (labeled with the name of their fav place).  After closing internet and favpla doc, students opened their home dir and verified that both items were complete and in their home dir. Demo'ed favorite place script.  Explained how to find, complete and save script (favpla2). Students worked on script during remaining time. 

  • Next Time:  Students will search and locate an image of the transportation they use to arrive at their favorite place.
Barefoot's Class -- Worked on Basic Tools in Word
Students watched name slide show (complete with bows and interacting with board while other students appauld).  Students opened MS Word and wrote the following sentences:

  1. My name is _____________.
  2. I am ___ years old.
  3. I am in ____________'s class.
  4. I live in _______________.
 Students watched teacher demo basic tools in MS Word 2007. Some of the items demo'ed and discussed:
  • Ribbons to access tools (home, insert, view, etc.)
  • Changing font:  style, type, size, color, high lighting
  • Selecting All
  • Cut, Copy and Paste
  • Aligning -- Left, Center and Right with examples of justified
  Students used remaining time to explored with taught Word tools.
  • Next time -- Additional assignment using taught tools in Word
