Hale's Class -- Keyboarding Practice
Students will use speed skins and Type To Learn software to develop keyboarding skills.

• Next Time:  Favorite Place (Day 5) Students need to record or collect required projects elements (favpic URL doc w/fav place pic and transportation pic, completed favpla 2 script, fav place pic file and transportation pic file in home dir).  Have microphones ready to record. Demo how to add music and finish fav place movie. [See October 16 for info on Day 4 of project]

Reynolds' Class -- Internet Safety "Security - Keep It Private"
Students will:

1. recognize the kind of information that is private
2. understand that they should never give out private information on the Internet
3. learn to create effective user names that protect their private information

Students discuss what information they should keep private. With a partner students interview each other to come up with safe user names that do not include private info but are easy to remember because they are based on their interests (favorite pet/animal, tv show, book, favorite numbers).
