Faulhaber's Class -- Working on Favorite Place (Day 4)
Demo PhotoStory and remind students not to start recording until all needed fav place components are home directory (favpla doc with fav place URL and pic along with transportation URL and pic, favpla2 doc with finished script, fav place pic file and transportation pic file) (NOTE:  Explain the choice between needed to print and effect use of school's limited resources.). Saved PhotoStory fav place project to home directory. Have microphones ready to record.
  • Next time -- Students need to record or collect required projects elements (favpic URL doc w/fav place pic and transportation pic, completed favpla 2 script, fav place pic file and transportation pic file in home dir).  Have microphones ready to record. Demo how to add music and finish fav place movie. 

Monroe's Class -- Working on Favorite Place (Day 4)
Had microphones ready to record.  Reminded students to open fav place PhotoStory file from home directory NOT PhotoStory. Demo'ed PhotoStory started with removing black borders. Explained the choice between need to print script or not because of  school's limited resources. Showed students how to view Word doc and PhotoStory file side-by-side. Explained students could choose music to enhance their fav place movie but emphasize the importance of making sure their voice is louder than the background music.
  • Next time -- Have microphones ready to record.  Most students are recording fav place narration with mic and script. Demo adding music and finishing movies.
Nixon's Class --  Basic Word Tools (Day 2)
Students practiced using basic tools in MS Word 2007. Students wrote 5 sentences

  3. I go to Apex Elementary.

  5. My favorite thing to do is ____________.

 Tools used: Changing font (style, type, size, color, high lighting), Cut, Copy and Paste, Aligning Center
