Shannon's Class -- Working on Favorite Place (Day 3)
Demo photo story.  Maybe add picture of transportation or another pic of activity at fav place. Students tested link in "favpla sha" doc and added image. Students returned to image online and saved image to their home directory (labeled with the name of their fav place).  After closing internet and favpla doc, students opened their home dir and verified that both items were complete and in their home dir. Demo'ed favorite place script.  Explained how to find, complete and save script (favpla2). Students worked on script during remaining time.

Hilgers' Class -- Working on Favorite Place (Day 3)
Students started working on favorite place script (saved as favpla 2 hil). Students located and saved a pic of the transportation used to arrive at their fav place.  Students added transportation pic's URL and a copy of pic to favpla. Demo PhotoStory and reminded students not to start recording until all needed fav place components are home directory (favpla doc with fav place URL and pic along with transportation URL and pic, favpla2 doc with finished script, fav place pic file and transportation pic file) (NOTE:  Explained the choice between needed to print and effect use of school's limited resources.). Saved PhotoStory fav place project to home directory. 
  • Next time -- Students need to finish their fav place script, locate and save transportation pic.  Need PhotoStory review/demo.
Reynolds' Class --  Basic Word Tools (Day 2)
Students practiced using basic tools in MS Word 2007. Students wrote 5 sentences
    1. My name is _________
    2. My favorite color is ________.
    3. I go to Apex Elementary.
    4. I was born in _______.
    5. My favorite thing to do is ____________.

       Tools used: Changing font (style, type, size, color, high lighting), Cut, Copy and Paste, Aligning Center
