Hilgers' Class --  Nature Works (Day 2)
Students met with their video group to discuss how they would present their topic to their peers: rap, puppet show, song, dramatic play, voicethread, etc.  Students watched their video again and took detailed notes to prepare for their group's presentation. 
  •  Next Time:  Students will meet with their group to prepare and rehearse their group's presentation.  Groups will present as time allows. 
Stangler's Class --  "NC County" Project (Day 2)

Students continued working with their partner or by themselves to complete this project.  Reviewed how to find info from the websites (NC Home Locator, US Census, NC Pedia and Google Maps).  Demo'ed how to create the NC County PowerPoint using the info listed on the PBWiki for 4th Grade.  When they finished collecting all of the need info, students started creating their NC County PowerPoints.
  •  Next Time:  NC County Project  Students will finish collecting information about their county and continue to create their PowerPoint.  
Little's Class -- Basic Word Processing (Day 1)
Students learned to use a few basic tools in MS Word 2007. Students wrote 4-5 sentences
  1. My name is _____________.
  2. I am ___ years old.
  3. I am in ____________'s class.
  4. I live in _______________.
Students saved their file to their home directory as basic (1st 3 letters in teacher's name) (their initials)
  • Next time: Demo basic tools in MS Word 2007. Some of the items to be covered include:
  1. Ribbons to access tools (home, insert, view, etc.)
  2. Changing font:  style, type, size, color, high lighting
  3. Selecting All
  4. Cut, Copy and Paste
  5. Aligning -- Left, Center and Right with examples of justified
Technology Club -- 2nd Day, Edmodo and accessing Go Animate
Students used the tech club Edmodo group code to join the group and gain acccess to Go Animate app.  If they chose, students added their pickaface.net avatar to their Edmodo profile.  Quick demo on create a character.
