Students created 2-5 pictures using Paint or PowerPoint related to their book. Students found an electronic picture of their book and created a PowerPoint slide with the cover of the book. and recorded their reading of this paragraph to the shared Spring Break Voicethread
- Next Time: Students will finish their pictures, save these pics as jpgs and import these pics into a Book Trailer VoiceThread. If time allows, students will record their book trailer paragraph(s) into their individual Book Trailer Voicethread.
Students created word doc with header for responses to videos. Students were asked to respond after each video with information about:
- What they learned by watching the video
- What others need to know about the topic to be safe online
- Next Time: Watching remaining videos: Understanding Online "Friends", "Talk to an Adult You Trust" and "Posting Pictures Online." Add responses to their netsafe word doc.
Students accessed Dance Mat Typing folders in Edmodo. Students launched Dancemat Typing website. Students continued to develop keyboarding skills while using Dancemat Typing. While on Evole (Digital Passport), students make choices about what to do if they or their friends are cyberbullied. They are encouraged to "evolve" into an “Upstander” – someone who takes action to stop cyberbullying, rather than standing by.
- Next Time: Students will continue to practice keyboarding while using Dancemat Typing. Digital Passport -- Search Shark (Students learn how to choose effective keywords for searching online. They practice selecting keywords that are most relevant to a search prompt. Along the way, students discover hints for narrowing their search results.)
