Hale's Class -- Finishing Tech2012 Letters for Ms. Reid and Starting Favorite Place Presentation
All students finished tech2012 letters to Ms. Reid to explain what they would like to do in technology this year.  Students who finished during previous visit worked in Type To Learn, Paint and/or Word.
Favorite Place Project:  Students opened favpla word document from their home directory.  Students verified that favpla word document had the URL of pic and a copy of pic.  Students verified that image was saved to their home directory labeled with the name of their favorite place. 

• Next time -- Students create a script that answers the following:

1. Where is your favorite place?
2. Why is this your favorite place?
3. What do you like to do at your favorite place?

Hoffert's Class -- Students searched on Google Images for a pic/image of their favorite place.  Students located the URL of the pic/image. After opening a word doc students saved the URL of pic and a copied of pic into the doc. Students saved the image to their home directory. While using MS Word students created  scripts that answers the following:

1. Where is your favorite place?
2. Why is this your favorite place?
3. What do you like to do at your favorite place? 

Students saved their script as favpla2 hof to their home dir.

• Next time --  Students will review their favpla2 scripts and verify that their script is finished.  Students will search and locate a picture of the transportation used to arrive at fav place.  Students will add transportation image info to favpla doc and save image to home directory. Review/Demo how to use PhotoStory. While in PhotoStory demo adding image, voice and changing movement of picture (if needed).  Choosing music? Creating and saving favpla movie.

Reynolds' Class -- Students watched name slide show (see at the end of post) complete with bows and applauded for each student's hard work. Students learned to use a few basic tools in MS Word 2007. Students wrote 4-5 sentences

2. I am ___ years old.
3. I am in ____________'s class.
4. I live in _______________.

 Students watched teacher demo basic tools in MS Word 2007. Some of the items demo'ed and disscussed:

• Ribbons to access tools (home, insert, view, etc.)
• Changing font:  style, type, size, color, high lighting
• Selecting All
• Cut, Copy and Paste
• Aligning -- Left, Center and Right with examples of justified

  Students used remaining time to explored with taught Word tools.

• Next time -- Additional assignment using taught tools in Word
