Hale's Class --  Creating simple graphs (Day1)

Students collected gender data from their peers.  Students learned how to access and create a simple gender graph while using MS Excel..  Students learned how to change the title of the graph.  Students learned how to customize the graph with color and pictures.  Student saved gender graph to their home directory as "gender graph (1st 3 letters of teacher's name) (student's initials)." Students collected new data of their choice from their class mates (for example:  fav animal, fav sport, fav type of book).  Students created a graph with this new data. 
  •  Next Time:  Finishing gender and choice graphs.
Hoffert's Class --  Jazz Presentations
Students present their jazz presentation to their peers.  Students observing jazz presentation ask questions and give positive feedback to the student presenter.

Reynolds' Class -- Intro on Windows Server (New Network)
Students learned to log into the network.  Students learned how to add shortcuts and access programs on the server.  Students learned how to change their browser.  Students checked to see if their home directories had their previous files.  Students learned how to log off the network and shut down the computer.
  • Next Time:  Students will continue to practice keyboarding while using Dancemat Typing. Digital Passport -- Communication Twalkers (Students learn why it's important to avoid multitasking with a cell phone. They consider the benefits of focusing on one task at a time.).
